This authentic Paulownia Rice Bin (Kiri Komebitsu) is handcrafted by a Senshu paulownia wardrobe maker in Osaka, using the same time-honored techniques as high-end paulownia chests of drawers. Designed to be naturally airtight, it protects rice from humidity while preserving flavor and aroma.
Made entirely from high-quality American paulownia wood, this rice bin combines beauty, function, and generations of Japanese craftsmanship.
Paulownia wood is soft by nature and may dent if bumped — this is normal and part of its charm
Minor stains or marks can be easily removed by lightly rubbing with the included sandpaper
